ARBC Tournament Registration

V4.2 - Multi-User Safety

Concurrent Editing: Multiple people can now register teams at the same time without overwriting each other's entries
File Locking: Server serializes all writes (exclusive/shared locks) so the data file can't be corrupted
Atomic Saves: Data is written safely so a crash mid-save can't truncate the file
Granular Team Operations: Add/edit/delete now apply to current server state instead of replacing the whole list, eliminating lost updates
Duplicate Protection: Server rejects an angler already registered, even across simultaneous submissions
Live Refresh: The team list auto-updates every 12 seconds when others make changes (paused while you're editing)

V4.1 - Edit Name & Angler 2 Validation

Edit Tournament Name: New "Edit Name" button next to New Tournament lets you rename the current tournament (admin sign-in required)
Angler 2 Contact Required: When an Angler 2 name is entered, phone and email are now required
Open Slot Default: Leaving Angler 2 name blank still defaults to "Open" with no phone or email required

V4.0 - Server-Based Architecture

Server Storage: All data now stored on web server instead of browser localStorage
PHP Backend: Simple PHP script for managing tournaments and archives
JSON Data File: Persistent storage using JSON file on server
No Dependencies: Works with any PHP-enabled web server (Apache, Nginx, IIS)
Async/Await: All data operations now use async/await for better performance

V3.1 - Archive Improvements

Global Archive Access: Archive dropdown now shows all archives from all tournaments
Tournament Name in Archives: Archives use tournament name instead of lake name for better identification
Global Delete All: Delete All Archives now removes all archives across all tournaments
Archive Display Format: Archives displayed as "Tournament Name - Date" for clarity

V3.0 - Multiple Tournaments

Multiple Tournament Support: Track multiple tournaments simultaneously
Tournament Selector: Dropdown in header to switch between tournaments
Create Tournament: Create new tournaments with custom names (passcode protected)
Delete Tournament: Delete empty tournaments (requires clearing teams first, passcode protected)
Per-Tournament Data: Each tournament has its own teams and details
Global Archives: Archives are accessible across all tournaments
Archive Naming: Archives include tournament name in filename (e.g., "Spring Tournament - 4-14-2026")
Contextual Clear All: Clear All button shows tournament name in prompt for clarity
Persistent Selection: Selected tournament is remembered across sessions
Data Migration: Existing data structure updated to support multiple tournaments

Tournament Notes: Added optional notes field to tournament info
Notes Display: Notes displayed below tournament details in header (italicized)
Conditional Display: Notes only shown when present, hidden when empty
Admin Protected: Tournament notes editing requires admin sign-in

V2.0 - Start/End Time

Start and End Time: Changed single time field to start time and end time
Time Range Display: Shows time range (e.g., "7:00 AM - 3:00 PM") when both times set
Flexible Input: Can set start time only or both start and end times
Side-by-Side Fields: Start and end time fields displayed side by side in edit modal

V1.9 - Delete All Archives

Delete All Button: Added button to delete all archives at once
Admin Protected: Delete All Archives requires admin sign-in
Confirmation Dialog: Double confirmation before deleting all archives
Count Feedback: Shows number of archives deleted in success message
No Archives Check: Alert if no archives exist when clicking Delete All

Tournament Details: Added date, time, lake, and ramp info to header
Admin Protected: Tournament info editing requires admin sign-in
Persistent Storage: Tournament info saved to localStorage
